Summary

Render pages from each input document as screenshot images and attach them to the corresponding n8n output items.

Inputs

  • Input Binary Field (required) — Binary property containing the document; defaults to data.
  • Target Pages — Optional page selection, such as 1-5,10,15-20. Empty selects all pages.
  • DPI — Rendering resolution; defaults to 150 DPI. Higher values can improve image quality but take longer.
  • Password — Password for an encrypted or protected document.
  • Screenshot Output Format — Choose PNG (default) or JPEG for the output format.

Output shape

One output item per rendered page, each with page metadata in JSON and a screenshot in binary data.

Each item includes pageNum and format; the image is attached under screenshot_page_<pageNum> and the input item's other binary properties are retained. The selected format determines the reported MIME type, while files are read from the CLI output as generated.
