Summary

Update attributes of an existing agent bot on the ChatWoot platform identified by its ID.

Inputs

• Name or ID (required) — Select or specify the agent bot's ID to update.
• Additional Options — Optional fields to update such as account ID, avatar (binary or URL), description, name, and outgoing webhook URL.

Output shape

A single JSON object containing the updated agent bot's details as returned from the platform API.

The operation sends a PATCH request to the /platform/api/v1/agent_bots/{id} endpoint and returns the updated agent bot data. Only specified fields in 'Additional Options' are updated; unspecified fields remain unchanged.

Examples

Example 1: Update an agent bot's name and description

Set 'Name or ID' to the target agent bot's ID, and under 'Additional Options', set 'Name' to the desired new name and 'Description' to the updated description text.

Example 2: Change the avatar using a URL

Provide the agent bot's ID in 'Name or ID'. Under 'Additional Options', set 'Avatar Url' to the link of the new image.
