Summary

Send an SMS through the Sinch Engage account for each incoming item. The node normalizes destination and optional sender numbers to E.164, checks message length, and returns the queued status and provider message ID.

Inputs

  • To (required) — Destination phone number. Use an international number with a + prefix, or select Country for a local number; the node converts valid numbers to E.164.
  • Country — Country used to interpret local-format destination and sender numbers. Required when either number has no international prefix.
  • From Name or ID — Select a sender number from the account or provide its ID with an expression. Leave empty to use the account's default sender number.
  • Message (required) — SMS text, from 1 to 1600 characters. The selected encoding or Auto-Detect determines GSM7 or UCS-2 metadata; the provider may split longer messages into segments.
  • Status Callback URL — Webhook URL for delivery status updates.
  • Encoding — Choose Auto-Detect, GSM7, or UCS-2. Auto-Detect marks messages containing characters outside the node's GSM7 set as UCS-2.

Output shape

One output item per successfully processed input item, containing a single JSON object.

The object includes provider, normalized to and from numbers, message, queued status, providerMessageId (null if absent), error (null if absent), and meta with detected encoding and queuedAt timestamp. An empty sender is reported as default_account_number. Invalid numbers, empty or overlong messages, and API errors fail the item unless Continue On Fail is enabled, in which case the output item contains an error field. Requires MessageMedia API credentials.
