Summary

Updates an existing Streameye feed by ID. It validates the supplied feed data against the feed's wizard schema, merges it over the feed's existing data, and returns the updated feed with its data decompressed to JSON.

Inputs

  • Feed ID (required) — ID of the feed to update. The node first loads the feed to find its wizard and current data, and errors if the feed is not found.
  • Name — New feed name. Omitted from the request if empty.
  • Language — Locale such as "en". If set, it must be one of the languages the feed's wizard supports, otherwise the item fails. Omitted if empty.
  • Data (required) — Feed data as a JSON object (a JSON array uses only its first element). It is merged over the feed's existing data, so you can send only the fields you want to change. Asset picker fields given as non-URL keywords are resolved to gallery asset URLs. A keyword with no match is removed, which falls back to the wizard default.
  • Additional Fields > Looping — Number of loops for the feed. 0 (the default) leaves the current value unchanged; values above 0 are sent.

Output shape

One item per input item, containing the updated feed record: id, rev, name, wid, type, createdAt, updatedAt, and data (decompressed to a JSON object).

Before updating, validation checks the merged data against the wizard schema (conditions, groups, required fields, per-screen required fields). Missing required fields are filled from wizard defaults where available, and execution hints report this. Validation errors fail the item. With Continue On Fail enabled, the item outputs {error: message} instead.

Examples

Example 1: Change a feed's headline text without touching other fields

Feed ID = {{$json.id}}, Data = {"headline":"Summer Sale"}; leave Name, Language and Looping empty.

Example 2: Rename a feed and switch its language

Feed ID set, Name = "Spring Promo", Language = "de", Data = {}.

Example 3: Set a feed to loop 3 times

Feed ID set, Data = {}, Additional Fields > Looping = 3.
