Infisical SyncInstall

Summary

Automatically syncs credentials from an Infisical project into n8n by discovering credential folders under a root path, then creating or updating matching credentials. Use it to pull a whole Infisical folder tree into n8n in one operation.

Inputs

• Project ID (required) — Infisical project that contains the credentials.
• Environment (required) — Infisical environment slug, such as dev, staging, or prod.
• Root Path — Base folder in Infisical to scan; each credential is expected in a subfolder. Defaults to /.
• If Credential Missing — When no n8n credential with the matching name exists, either create one using the n8n_credential_type metadata stored on the Infisical secrets (default) or skip it.
• OAuth Credential Handling — Controls OAuth1/OAuth2 credentials, whose interactive access tokens are not synced: Create Only creates missing credentials but leaves existing ones unchanged (default); Skip ignores them; Update All creates or updates them and may clear saved tokens, requiring re-authorization.
• Update Strategy — For existing credentials, Partial Merge (default) preserves fields not synced, including OAuth tokens, and requires an n8n version that supports partial credential updates. Full Replace overwrites all credential data and can clear OAuth tokens.

Output shape

A list of per-folder sync results.

Each discovered credential folder is processed as a create, update, or skip according to the selected options. Credential data is mapped from Infisical secrets and, when the n8n schema is available, coerced and supplemented with defaults for validation. OAuth handling may leave existing OAuth credentials unchanged or skip them.
