Summary

Create a LinkedIn post that includes a text commentary and an embedded article URL with an optional custom title, description, and thumbnail image URN for preview.

Inputs

• Author URN (required) — Complete URN of the post author (person or organization), e.g., urn:li:person:8675309 or urn:li:organization:71176269.
• Comentário (required) — Main text content of the post that supports line breaks.
• Visibilidade (required) — Visibility setting of the post: Public, Connections (1st degree), or Logged-in members only.
• URL do Artigo (required) — URL to embed within the post, which will show a preview.
• Título Customizado — Overrides the preview title of the embedded article.
• Descrição Customizada — Overrides the preview description of the embedded article.
• Thumbnail (URN da Imagem) — URN of an image already uploaded via the Image resource, used as the preview thumbnail.
• Opções Avançadas — Optional advanced settings including feed distribution (where the post appears), lifecycle state (published or draft), and whether resharing is disabled by the author.

Output shape

a single response object containing the full HTTP response from LinkedIn's API for the created post

The operation returns the full API response with HTTP status and headers included. The post creation endpoint used is POST /posts with the composed body including author, commentary, visibility, article content, and advanced options.

Examples

Example 1: Create a public post by an organization with commentary and an article URL, setting a custom title and disabling resharing.

Set 'Author URN' to the organization's URN, add text in 'Comentário', provide the article URL in 'URL do Artigo', enter a custom title in 'Título Customizado', keep 'Visibilidade' as 'PUBLIC', and enable 'Reshare Desabilitado' in 'Opções Avançadas'.
