Summary

Set the typing or audio message activity status in a VK conversation to indicate that you are composing a message or recording a voice message.

Inputs

• Peer ID (required) — The identifier of the conversation or user where the activity status will be displayed. For group chats, use 2000000000 + chat_id.
• Тип (required) — The type of activity status to set: either 'Печатает' (typing) or 'Голосовое' (audio message).

Output shape

a single response object indicating the result of the set activity API call.

The operation sends a POST request to VK's messages.setActivity method and returns the server response. Errors from the VK API are thrown as errors. No pagination applies.

Examples

Example 1: Indicate that you are typing a message in a chat

Set the 'Peer ID' to the target conversation and 'Тип' to 'Печатает' ('typing') to show the typing status.
