Summary

Inputs

• Instance Name (required) — Specify the instance name that will send the document.

• Document (required) — Provide the document to send as either a URL or base64-encoded string.
• Message — Include optional text to be sent along with the document as caption.
• File Name — Set the file name for the document being sent, defaulting to 'document.pdf'.
• Options — Configure additional message options, including delay before sending, replying to a specific message by ID, and mentions (mention everyone or specified numbers).

Output shape

A single message send result object containing details of the action performed.

The operation returns the API response confirming message send status. Options for delay, reply, and mentions affect the message sending behavior accordingly.

Examples

Example 1: Send a PDF document with a caption and a 1.2 second delay from a specific instance to a recipient number, naming the file 'report.pdf'.

Instance Name set to the sending instance, Recipient Number set to the recipient's jid, Document set to the file URL/base64, Caption set to descriptive text, File Name set to 'report.pdf', Delay set to 1200ms in options.
