Summary

Search for an Active Directory user by their sAMAccountName and retrieve their distinguished name (DN) if found.

Inputs

• sAMAccountName (required) — The sAMAccountName value to search for in Active Directory, representing the user's login name.
• Continue on Error — Whether to continue processing subsequent items even if the search for a specific sAMAccountName fails.

Output shape

a JSON object containing success status, the searched sAMAccountName, and the user's distinguished name (DN) if found; an error is thrown if the user is not found unless continued on error is enabled.

Each input item is processed separately, returning a paired item output. If the user is not found, an error is raised unless the 'Continue on Error' option is enabled, in which case the error is returned in the output JSON.
