Summary

Search Reddit posts using a keyword query, within a specified subreddit and sorted by a chosen type, returning up to a set limit of results.

Inputs

• Client — Optionally select a specific online AgentMesh client for executing the search; if left empty, AgentMesh auto-selects the least busy client.
• Sort Type — Choose how to sort the Reddit posts returned by the search. Options include Best, Hot, New, Top, and Rising; defaults to Hot.
• Query — The search keyword or phrase to find relevant Reddit posts.
• Subreddit — The target subreddit to search in; use "all" to search across all subreddits. Defaults to all.
• Limit — Maximum number of Reddit posts to return from the search, between 1 and 100. Defaults to 10.

Output shape

a list of Reddit post objects matching the search criteria

The output includes each post as a separate item with its metadata enriched by the task ID, resource, operation, sort type, query, and subreddit. The underlying task is executed via AgentMesh API, with up to 30 polling attempts at 2-second intervals for completion or failure detection. If no posts are found, an empty list is returned.

Examples

Example 1: Search for posts containing 'AI Agents' in the 'all' subreddit sorted by 'Hot' returning up to 10 results.
