Entity → Get Many Notes

AI-generated

Summary

Retrieves notes attached to Auvik entities (devices, interfaces, networks, or root), with optional filters on entity, author, modification time and tenant. The source pack shows only signatures, so the exact query mapping is inferred from the declared parameters.

Inputs

  • Return All — If true (default), fetches all matching notes via cursor pagination.
  • Limit — Maximum number of notes to return (1–10000, default 100). Shown only when Return All is off.
  • Entity ID — Filter notes by the ID of the entity they are attached to.
  • Entity Type — Filter by entity type: Any (default), Device, Interface, Network, or Root.
  • Entity Name — Filter notes by entity name.
  • Last Modified By — Filter notes by the user who last modified them.
  • Modified After Preset — Preset lower bound for modified time (e.g. Last 24 hours, Today, Year to date). Default is No Filter; Custom reveals the Modified After field.
  • Modified After — Custom lower bound of modified time as ISO 8601 UTC (YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:ss.SSSZ). Only shown when the preset is Custom.
  • Tenants — Multi-select of Auvik tenants (loaded from the account) to scope the query.

Output shape

A list of Auvik entity note records, one n8n item per note.

Results are limited by Limit unless Return All is on. Exact fields come from the Auvik API response and are not defined in the node's properties. Requests retry on rate limiting and 5xx errors.

Examples

Example 1: Pull all notes edited in the last 24 hours across selected tenants

Return All on; Modified After Preset = Last 24 hours; Tenants = chosen tenants

Example 2: Find notes on a particular device

Entity Type = Device; Entity ID = device ID; Return All on

Example 3: Audit a specific user's recent note edits, capped at 50

Return All off; Limit = 50; Last Modified By = user name; Modified After Preset = Last 7 days
