Azure OpenAI → Generate Image
AI-generatedSummary
Generate an image from a text prompt using an Azure OpenAI DALL-E deployment.
Inputs
- Authentication — Select the authentication method: API Key or Entra ID (OAuth2). Defaults to API Key.
- Deployment (required) — Choose the Azure OpenAI deployment for image generation: 'dall-e-3' (recommended), 'dall-e-2', or specify a custom deployment name.
- Custom Deployment Name — Provide the exact name of your Azure OpenAI deployment if 'Custom' is selected.
- Prompt (required) — Text description of the desired image to generate.
- Image Size (required) — Select the generated image size: 1024×1024 (Square), 1792×1024 (Landscape), or 1024×1792 (Portrait). Defaults to 1024×1024.
- Quality (required) — Set image quality to Standard or HD. Defaults to Standard.
- Style (required) — Choose the image style: 'Vivid' for hyper-real and dramatic, or 'Natural' for more natural-looking images. Defaults to Vivid.
Output shape
a single JSON object containing the URL of the generated image, the revised prompt used by the service, and the raw response data.
The output JSON includes 'url' (direct link to the generated image), 'revisedPrompt' (possibly adjusted prompt text), and '_raw' (full API response). If an API key or OAuth2 is chosen, it is used accordingly for authentication. A deployment name must be specified and cannot be left as 'custom' without a value. An error is thrown if the prompt or deployment name is missing.
Examples
