AI-generatedSummary
Posts one or more questions in a BGOS chat as an interactive prompt. By default, waits for answers or the timeout and returns structured results; disable waiting to receive answers separately through a Home of Agents Trigger listening for Ask Response events.
Inputs
- Chat Name or ID — Chat to ask in. If empty, uses chatId or chat_id from the input data.
- Questions (required) — One to four questions. Each needs at least two selectable options, with a label and returned value; each question can also allow free text and skipping. Modal mode supports the carousel, free text, and skip controls. Inline mode presents one question with up to six choices, plus Custom reply and Skip.
- User ID — User expected to answer. Uses user_id or userId from input data if empty. Required when waiting for answers.
- Wait for Answers — Defaults to on. When enabled, waits until all questions are answered or the timeout expires. When disabled, returns after posting; receive answers through the Ask Response event in a Home of Agents Trigger.
- Render Mode — Modal is the default and supports multiple questions, free text, and skipping. Inline supports one question with up to six choices, a custom reply, and skipping; the UI describes it as asynchronous.
- Timeout (Seconds) — When waiting, time allowed for answers before unanswered questions are reported as skipped. Defaults to 600 seconds.
- Poll Interval (Ms) — When waiting, interval for checking the backend for answers. Defaults to 1500 ms.
Output shape
A single result containing the posted question message data and, when waiting is enabled, structured answer data.
When waiting is disabled, the operation returns immediately after posting and does not include answers; each answer is delivered separately through the Ask Response trigger event. In blocking mode, unanswered questions are reported as skipped when the timeout expires.
