Summary

Send a message to a selected Home of Agents assistant in a selected chat. Choose whether it is sent as the assistant, as the user (which wakes the receiving AI), or as a system notification (which also wakes it); optionally format it as a collapsed event card, attach a previously uploaded file, or include interactive buttons.

Inputs

  • Assistant Name or ID — Destination assistant. If empty, uses assistantId or assistant_id from input data.
  • Chat Name or ID — Destination chat, filtered by the selected assistant. If empty, uses chatId or chat_id from input data.
  • Text — Message body; required unless a file is attached.
  • Sender — Defaults to Assistant, which saves a reply without triggering the AI. User sends as the human and wakes the receiving AI. System sends a system notification and wakes the AI.
  • Message Type — Defaults to Standard. Event renders as a collapsed card; provide its required title and optionally a source label, peek summary, and JSON payload. The text remains the full message body.
  • Additional Fields — Optionally attach a previously uploaded file by ID or supply interactive button options as a JSON array. Button render mode can be inline (up to 6 options) or modal. Advanced agent identity fields are also available.

Output shape

A single result item containing the response from the message send request.

The operation posts the message to the selected chat. Event metadata and optional file or button settings affect presentation or attachments; they do not replace the message text.
