Contact → Find
AI-generatedSummary
Searches the connected HighLevel sub-account for contacts using email, phone, and/or name, then returns the deduplicated matches. If all three fields are blank, it uses the legacy free-text Query field when provided; it errors rather than sending an unfiltered search when no search value is set.
Inputs
- Authentication — Uses the credential’s configured authentication; new nodes default to a Private Integration Token, while legacy nodes default to OAuth2.
- Email — Exact email match. When combined with other dedicated fields, its results are unioned with theirs.
- Phone — Phone search, preferably in E.164 format. When combined with other dedicated fields, its results are unioned with theirs.
- Name — Free-text name search. When combined with other dedicated fields, its results are unioned with theirs.
- Query (legacy free-text) — Used only when Email, Phone, and Name are all blank; searches across email, phone, and name.
- Return All — Whether to return all results or only the configured maximum.
- Limit — Maximum number of results when Return All is off; defaults to 20, with a UI range of 1–100.
- Output Mode — Choose separate n8n items for each contact (default) or one item containing a contacts array and count.
Output shape
A list of matched contact records, or a single item containing { contacts: [...], count: N } when Single Item output mode is selected.
Dedicated field searches run separately and their results are deduplicated by contact ID. Each output item is associated with its input item for n8n item linking.
