Summary

Send a transactional Viber message to a specified recipient with optional variable substitutions in the message text.

Inputs

• Number (required) — The recipient's phone number, provided in international format or with a country code specified separately.
• Text (required) — The text content of the Viber message, supporting UTF-8 encoding with a maximum length of 612 characters (268 if Unicode is used). Supports placeholders replaced by variables.
• Variables — Optional key-value pairs to replace placeholders in the message text template.
• Country — Country code in ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 format for the recipient's number; helps format the number correctly.
• Sender — Sender identifier, which can be a phone number, text label, profile ID, or push key.
• Expiration — Time in seconds before an alternative channel is used if the Viber message is not delivered (default 120).
• Use Template — For Belarus, Ukraine, and Russia, indicates whether to use a preapproved message template for transactional pricing.
• Schedule — Optional scheduled sending time for the message, provided as a Unix timestamp or ISO 8601 string.
• Duplicates Check — Option to prevent sending duplicate messages with the same text to the same number within 5 minutes ('on' or 'off', default 'off').

Output shape

An object representing the API response with message sending results and status for the provided recipient and message.

The response includes information about the message dispatch outcome; errors or delivery details are reported in the response. Scheduling delays message sending until the specified time. Duplicate checking filters out repeats within a short timespan when enabled.
