Summary

Publish a combo key keyboard action as a JSON payload to a specified MQTT topic, optionally waiting for a response message on a response topic.

Inputs

• Topic (required) — The MQTT topic to which the combo key action message will be published.
• QoS — The Quality of Service level for the MQTT message (0, 1, or 2).
• Include Input Items — Whether to include selected fields from the input items in the payload under 'inputItems'.
• Include Input Items Fields — The specific input fields to include in the payload if 'Include Input Items' is true.
• Wait For Response — Whether to wait for a reply MQTT message on a response topic before returning output.
• Response Topic (required) — The MQTT topic to listen to for the response message if waiting for a response. Defaults to 'RES_'.
• Response Timeout (ms) — Maximum time in milliseconds to wait for the response message when 'Wait For Response' is enabled.
• Parse Response As JSON — Whether to parse the response payload as JSON if a response is received.
• Keys (required) — The string representing the combination of keys to send, e.g., 'Ctrl+A' or 'Ctrl+Shift+P'.

Output shape

a list of output items corresponding to input items, each including MQTT publish details in json.mqtt; or a single output item if no input items exist.

If 'Wait For Response' is enabled, the node waits for a reply message on the response topic, capturing its payload in the output. Otherwise, it publishes the message and returns immediately. Errors are reported and can be handled with 'Continue On Fail' if enabled.

Examples

Example 1: Publish the combo key 'Ctrl+Shift+P' to topic 'playwright/keyboard/combo' and wait for response on 'RES_playwright/keyboard/combo'.

Set Topic to 'playwright/keyboard/combo', Keys to 'Ctrl+Shift+P', enable 'Wait For Response', and use default Response Topic 'RES_playwright/keyboard/combo'.
