Summary

Amend an existing Capital.com position by sending its deal ID and any selected stop or limit settings to the broker. The operation updates the position through the Capital.com API.

Inputs

• Deal ID (required) — The position deal ID to amend.
• Stops & Limits — Optional collection of stop and profit settings: guaranteed stop, trailing stop, and stop/profit amount, distance, or level. Boolean settings are sent only when enabled; numeric settings are sent only when nonzero.

Output shape

A single record containing the Capital.com API response for the amended position.

The node sends a PUT request to the position endpoint. The request body includes only enabled boolean settings and nonzero numeric stop/profit values; zero values are treated as unset.

Example 1: Move an existing position's stop level

Provide the position's deal ID and set a nonzero Stop Level in Stops & Limits.
