Summary

Search Facebook events by topic, with optional location and date filters. Returns up to the requested limit; caching can serve a stored response for 24 hours.

Inputs

• Query (required) — Topic keyword, such as “comedy”.
• Location — City or place filter. Matches event timezone, city, or coordinates near the city; it is not a title substring search.
• From — Inclusive local start date in YYYY-MM-DD format. Use to exclude earlier events.
• To — Inclusive local start date in YYYY-MM-DD format.
• Upcoming — When true and From is omitted, sets From to today's UTC date to drop past events.
• Limit — Maximum number of results; defaults to 20 and is capped at 200. Each call costs 2 credits.
• Cache — When true, serves a response from the 24-hour cache when available; cache hits cost 0 credits. Defaults to false, which fetches fresh results.

Output shape

A response envelope containing event results and a source indicator.

The source indicates whether results came from the native or extended fetch path. Cache hits also include cached and cachedAt fields. Facebook or search results may include past events unless From or Upcoming is used.
