Recognition → Image To Text

AI-generated

Summary

Sends a base64 CAPTCHA image to the CaptchaSonic API for OCR (ImageToTextTask) and returns the API's recognition result synchronously in the output item.

Inputs

  • Task Type (required) — Fixed to Image to Text (ImageToTextTask); sent as the task type.
  • Image (Base64) — Base64-encoded CAPTCHA image. Sent as the first entry of the task's queries array. In practice required for a useful result.
  • Module — OCR module name (e.g. "bls", "amazon", "probot") to select a specialised recognizer. Omitted if empty.
  • Question — Instruction or question text for the CAPTCHA. Omitted if empty.
  • Website URL — URL of the page hosting the CAPTCHA. Omitted if empty.
  • Website Key — Site key for the CAPTCHA widget, if applicable. Sent as both websiteKey and websiteKEY.
  • Body — Raw body. If it parses as a JSON object, its fields are merged into the task payload (passthrough for extra API fields). Otherwise it is sent as a raw body string.

Output shape

One output item per input item: { success: true, data: <CaptchaSonic createTask response> }, paired to the input item.

No polling occurs; the result comes back directly from the POST to /createTask using the captchaSonicApi credential. The exact fields inside data are determined by the API. API errors (non-zero errorId) throw; with Continue On Fail enabled, the item instead contains { error: message }.

Examples

Example 1: Solve a text CAPTCHA image fetched earlier in the workflow

Resource: Recognition, Operation: Image To Text, Image (Base64): {{ $json.imageBase64 }}

Example 2: Use a site-specific OCR module

Image (Base64) from previous node, Module: "bls", optional Website URL set to the page URL

Example 3: Pass extra API fields

Image (Base64) set, Body: {"questionType":"text"} to merge into the task payload
