Summary

Edit an existing submission in a specified Clappia app by updating its fields either through individual form fields or by providing a JSON object with the updated data.

Inputs

• App (required) — Select the Clappia app containing the submission either from a list or by specifying its ID directly.
• Submission ID (required) — Provide the ID of the submission you want to edit.
• Data Mode (required) — Choose how to input the edit data: as individual form fields dynamically loaded from the app, or as a complete JSON object.
• Fields — When using Form mode, specify one or more fields and their new values to update the submission.
• Edit Data — When using JSON mode, provide a JSON object with field IDs as keys and their new values; only included fields will be updated.

Returns the updated submission data as JSON. The output corresponds to the edited submission and may include all submission fields returned from the Clappia API.

Example 1: Edit a submission by specifying individual fields

Select the app from the list, provide the submission ID, set Data Mode to 'Form', and add one or more fields with their updated values.

Example 2: Edit a submission using a JSON object

Specify the app ID directly, provide the submission ID, set Data Mode to 'JSON', and supply the updated fields as a JSON object in the Edit Data parameter.
