Summary

Send an email from a specified Commune inbox to one or more recipients with HTML or plain text content.

Inputs

• inboxId (required) — The ID of the inbox to send the email from.
• to (required) — Recipient email address or comma-separated list of recipient addresses.
• subject (required) — Email subject line.
• html — HTML email body. At least one of HTML or Plain Text Body must be provided.
• text — Plain text fallback email body. At least one of HTML or Plain Text Body must be provided.
• sendOptions — Additional options including thread_id (to reply to a thread), cc, bcc, reply_to, and custom from display name.

Output shape

Returns the response object for the sent message, unwrapping the response data property if present.

Example 1: Send a transactional HTML email

Set From Inbox to your inbox ID, To to 'customer@example.com', Subject to 'Your Order Confirmation', and Email Body (HTML) to '

Example 2: Reply to a thread with CC recipients

Set From Inbox, To, Subject, Plain Text Body, and under Additional Options provide Thread ID and CC addresses.
