Summary

Create a new traceability series in DataMagik for generating serial numbers.

Inputs

• seriesName (required) — Name for the series
• formatString — Format string for serial number generation. Tokens: {YYYY}, {MM}, {DD}, {JJJ}, {SHIFT}, {####}. Default: {YYYY}{MM}{DD}-{####}.
• baseType — Character set for sequence numbers. Options: numeric (0-9), alphanumeric (0-9, A-Z), hexadecimal (0-9, A-F), alpha only (A-Z). Default: numeric.
• resetRule — When to reset the sequence counter. Options: never, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, per shift. Default: never.

Output shape

Returns the created series object as provided by the DataMagik API, which includes the series ID, name, formatString, baseType, resetRule and any additional fields.

Set Series Name to 'WO‑Series', Format String to '{YYYY}{MM}{DD}-{####}', Base Type to 'Numeric', Reset Rule to 'Daily'.
