Summary

Fetch a specific variable belonging to a contact

Inputs

• chatbotId (required) — The ID of the chatbot to which the contact belongs
• variableId — The ID of the variable to retrieve from the contact
• contactId (required) — The ID of the contact whose variable is being fetched

Output shape

a single variable object representing the retrieved contact variable

Successful responses are parsed as JSON and returned unchanged; errors are propagated as exceptions

Examples

Example 1: Retrieve a contact variable for a given contact and chatbot

chatbotId=12345, contactId=contact_abc123, variableId=cust_email

Example 2: Get a variable as part of a larger contact query

chatbotId set, operation=getContactVariable

Example 3: Fetch a contact variable when only the variable ID is known
