Summary

Normalize emails by trimming whitespace and converting to lowercase in a specified field, optionally saving the result to a different field.

Inputs

• Email Field (required) — Field name containing the email address to normalize. Supports dot notation for nested fields.
• Output Field — Optional field to save the normalized email. Leave empty to overwrite the original.
• Options — Configuration options including case insensitive field matching (default true), whether to continue on failure (default true), whether to include debug info (_debug field), whether to exclude unchanged items from output, and whether to track changes with before/after values (_changes field).

Output shape

A list of items with JSON objects containing normalized email data. Each item corresponds to one input and includes the original data with the normalized email applied to the specified output field.

If 'skipUnchanged' option is enabled, items with no email changes are excluded. If 'trackChanges' is enabled, a _changes field shows what was modified. If 'debugMode' is enabled, a _debug field provides detailed field lookup and transformation info. Processing continues for other items if one fails when 'continueOnFail' is set to true. Field names matching is case-insensitive by default.
