Summary

Retrieve messages from a specified message thread on Freelancer.com, with options to return all messages or limit the number of returned messages, and to add additional query parameters or body content.

Inputs

• Authentication (required) — Choose either OAuth2 or Access Token method to authenticate to Freelancer.com.
• Thread (required) — Specify the Freelancer.com thread to get messages from by thread ID or by URL, from which the thread ID is extracted.
• Return All — Boolean flag to specify whether to return all messages in the thread or limit the number of results.
• Limit — When 'Return All' is false, this limits the number of messages returned; minimum is 1.
• Query Parameters — Additional query parameters in JSON format to customize the API request; arrays are sent as repeated parameters.
• Body — Additional JSON body content to include with the request; keys here override any automatically generated fields.

Output shape

a list of message objects from the specified thread, each wrapped in execution data with metadata including resource, operation, fetch time, and endpoint

The node paginates results internally if pagination is supported and 'Return All' is true. Returned messages come from the Freelancer API endpoint /messages/0.1/threads/{threadId}/messages/. Additional query parameters and body fields can modify the request as needed.

Examples

Example 1: Get all messages from a thread

Set 'Thread' to the desired thread ID or URL, set 'Return All' to true to retrieve all messages.

Example 2: Get a limited number of messages

Set 'Thread' to the target thread, set 'Return All' to false and 'Limit' to the max number of messages to retrieve.
