Summary

Retrieves DNS records from Infoblox Universal DDI (GET /api/ddi/v1/dns/record), optionally filtered server-side, returning either all records or up to a limit.

Inputs

• Return All — When true, pages through every record (100 per request using _limit/_offset) until a short page is returned. Default false.
• Limit — Max records to return when Return All is off (minimum 1, default 50). Sent as _limit in a single request.
• Filter Expression — Infoblox _filter expression applied server-side, e.g. name=="default". Empty returns all records.
• Query Parameters — Extra name/value pairs added to the query string, e.g. _fields or _order_by. A _filter set here is overridden by the Filter Expression field if that is non-empty.

Output shape

A list of items, one per DNS record, taken from the API response's results/result/items/data array.

If the response contains no recognizable list, the raw response is returned as a single item. Non-object entries are wrapped as {result: value}. With Continue On Fail, errors are emitted as an item with an error message. Requires Infoblox CSP API credentials.

Example 1: List all records in a particular zone

Return All on; Filter Expression: zone=="dns/auth_zone/abc123"

Return All off; Limit 10; Filter Expression: type=="A"
