Summary

Retrieves authoritative DNS zones from Infoblox Universal DDI (GET /api/ddi/v1/dns/auth_zone), either all of them or up to a limit, with optional server-side filtering.

Inputs

• Return All — If true, pages through all zones (100 per request using _limit/_offset) until a short page is returned. Default false.
• Limit — Max number of zones to return when Return All is off (minimum 1, default 50). Sent as _limit.
• Filter Expression — Infoblox _filter expression applied server-side, e.g. name=="example.com.". Empty returns all zones.
• Query Parameters — Extra name/value query-string pairs, e.g. _fields or _order_by. Filter Expression sets _filter and overrides a _filter given here.

Output shape

A list of DNS zone records, emitted as one n8n item per zone, from the API's results array.

If the response contains no recognizable list (results/result/items/data), the raw response is returned as a single item. Uses the Infoblox CSP API credentials. With Continue On Fail enabled, errors are returned as an item with an error field.

Examples

Example 1: List every authoritative zone in the account

Return All = true; leave Filter Expression empty.

Example 2: Find a specific zone by name

Return All = false, Limit = 10, Filter Expression = name=="example.com."

Example 3: Return only selected fields for the first 100 zones

Limit = 100; Query Parameters: _fields = fqdn,view,primary_type
