Summary

Download an asset from Karakeep by its ID, optionally returning the file as binary data or only the download URL.

Inputs

• assetId (required) — The ID of the asset to retrieve or download.
• returnFormat — How to return the asset data; either as binary file or as a URL only.
• binaryPropertyName — Name of the binary property to store the downloaded file when returnFormat is binary.

Output shape

An n8n item containing JSON metadata about the asset. When returnFormat is binary, the item also includes a binary property with the file data; when returnFormat is url, the JSON contains the download URL string.

The exact JSON fields depend on the Karakeep asset response (e.g., id, name, mimeType, size, etc.).
