Summary

Update an existing LearnDash course using its numeric ID and specify new or changed course fields or a raw JSON body to modify properties like title, content, status, pricing, prerequisites, and featured image.

Inputs

• Item ID (required) — The numeric ID of the course to update.
• Course Fields — A collection of course properties to update such as title, content, excerpt, status, slug, pricing details, prerequisites, points settings, and featured image (by ID or URL).
• Body (JSON) — Raw JSON payload for advanced or less common course updates; merges with fields from Course Fields if provided.

Output shape

a list of updated course objects as returned from the LearnDash API.

Outputs an array of course objects representing the updated course data. If both Course Fields and Body JSON are provided, the body JSON values will override the named fields. The Item ID must be set. Errors in JSON parsing or invalid IDs will cause operation failure.

Examples

Example 1: Update the title and status of a specific course by ID

Set Item ID to the target course's ID, fill 'Course Fields' with the new title and status 'publish'. Leave 'Body (JSON)' blank.

Example 2: Update multiple complex properties not exposed by UI fields

Provide Item ID and a complete raw JSON body in 'Body (JSON)' containing all desired updates; leave 'Course Fields' empty for full control.
