Summary

Retrieve multiple messages from a specified Liveblocks feed within a room, optionally paginated and filtered by creation time.

Inputs

• Room ID (required) — Specifies the Liveblocks room from which to fetch feed messages.
• Feed ID (required) — Identifies the particular feed inside the room to retrieve messages from.
• Cursor — Optional pagination cursor to continue fetching messages from a prior response's nextCursor value.
• Since (Ms) — Optional Unix timestamp in milliseconds; when set greater than zero, only messages created after this timestamp will be returned.
• Limit — Maximum number of messages to fetch, between 1 and 100; defaults to 20 if not specified.
• Split Into Items — When set to true, outputs one n8n item per message; each item also includes the nextCursor if pagination is available.
• Include Request in Error — If true, failed API calls will include detailed request and response information in the error for debugging purposes.

Output shape

a list of feed message objects potentially paginated by nextCursor; can be output as separate items or a single batch depending on 'Split Into Items' setting.

The response includes a nextCursor field for pagination if more messages are available. Pagination is handled by supplying the nextCursor value in subsequent requests to the Cursor input. Filtering by creation time is done with Since (Ms) Unix timestamp in milliseconds; if 0 or omitted, messages are not filtered by time. Errors may contain detailed request info if Include Request in Error is enabled.

Examples

Example 1: Fetch first 20 messages from a feed in a room

Set Room ID and Feed ID; omit Cursor and Since (Ms) to get the latest messages; set Limit to 20 and Split Into Items to true to process messages individually.

Example 2: Paginate to next page of messages

Use the Cursor parameter with the previous response's nextCursor value; maintain same Room ID and Feed ID; adjust Limit as needed.
