Summary

Update an existing message in a specified feed within a Liveblocks room by providing the room ID, feed ID, message ID, and the updated message content as a JSON object, with an optional timestamp for the update time.

Inputs

• Room ID (required) — Identifier of the Liveblocks room containing the feed.
• Feed ID (required) — Identifier of the feed containing the message to update.
• Message ID (required) — Identifier of the message to update within the feed.
• Message Data (required) — A JSON object representing the new payload for the message content.
• Timestamp (ms) — Optional Unix timestamp in milliseconds for the update time; if omitted or zero, the server default timestamp is used.
• Include Request in Error — Flag to include the outgoing HTTP request details in the error description for debugging if the API call fails.

Output shape

The node returns the updated message object from the Liveblocks API, reflecting the changes made.

The response includes the updated message data. If the update fails, the node may return an error which can optionally contain detailed request information if enabled.

Examples

Example 1: Update message at feed 'feed123' in room 'room456' with new content and default timestamp.

Set Room ID to 'room456', Feed ID to 'feed123', Message ID to target message, Message Data to desired updated JSON content, omit Timestamp to use server default.
