Summary

Retrieve detailed information about a specific Microsoft Teams chat by its Graph chat ID, with options to include expanded details such as members and last message preview.

Inputs

• Chat ID (required) — The unique Microsoft Graph chat ID (e.g., starting with '19:' and ending with '@thread.v2'). Note that Bot Framework conversation IDs starting with 'a:' will not work.
• Expand Members — Boolean flag to include detailed members information of the chat in the response.
• Expand Last Message Preview — Boolean flag to include a preview of the last message in the chat.

The output represents the full chat resource with optional expanded fields for members and last message preview depending on the input flags. Errors are returned as appropriate exceptions; ensure to provide a valid chat ID starting with '19:'.

Examples

Example 1: Retrieve a chat's basic details

Set Chat ID to '19:abc123@thread.v2', leave Expand Members and Expand Last Message Preview as false or unset. The output will include chat metadata such as topic, chat type, and ID.

Example 2: Retrieve chat details including members and last message preview

Set Chat ID appropriately, and set both Expand Members and Expand Last Message Preview to true. The output object will include detailed member info and a preview snippet of the last message in the chat.
