Summary

Lists replies to a specified parent message in a Teams channel or chat. Choose the recipient type and provide the parent message ID; for chats, also provide the chat ID. Optional settings control the reply count, chat filtering and sort order, mention matching, and whether results use a simplified view.

Inputs

• recipientType (required) — Select Channel or Chat (Direct Message).
• chatId (required) — The chat ID to use when the recipient type is Chat.
• messageId (required) — The parent message ID whose replies to retrieve.
• count — Maximum number of recent replies to request; defaults to 10, with a UI range of 1–50.
• filter — Optional OData filter expression for chat replies.
• mentionMatch — Optional case-insensitive text match against mention text and message body content; only matching replies are included.
• orderBy — For chats, sort replies by last modified time or creation time, descending; defaults to last modified time.
• simplifiedView — When enabled, return concise reply summaries with identifiers, sender and times, plain-text previews, and reaction and attachment counts instead of full Graph payloads.

Output shape

A list of reply items.

Each reply is returned as an n8n item. The full Graph payload is returned by default; simplified view changes each item to a concise summary. The count limits the reply request.
