Nano Node RPCInstall

Summary

Start a Nano node bootstrap attempt using its default peer selection, optionally forcing closure of current bootstraps or targeting a specific account. The request requires enable_control = true on the node; the RPC supports tracking the attempt with a bootstrap ID on Nano v21.0 and later.

Inputs

• Bootstrap ID — Optional ID for tracking this bootstrap attempt (v21.0+).
• Force — Whether to force-close all current bootstrap attempts before starting this one (v20.0+); defaults to false.
• Target Account — Optional Nano account to target for the bootstrap attempt (v22.0+).
• Timeout (Ms) — RPC request timeout in milliseconds; defaults to 15000, with a UI range of 1000–600000.
• Max Retries — Retries for transient RPC failures before failing; defaults to 2, with a UI range of 0–10.

Output shape

A single RPC result item for the bootstrap attempt.

The source identifies the bootstrapAny RPC call but does not show its response fields. The node may reject the call unless enable_control = true is configured.
