Summary

Update a portfolio's color, description, and/or name.

Inputs

• portfolioId (required) — The portfolio to operate on. Select from the list (searchable via getPortfolios) or provide an ID directly.
• updateFields — Fields to update on the portfolio. At least one field should be provided for the update to take effect. Available options: color, description, name.
• requestOptions — HTTP request configuration. Includes batching (items per batch and interval), proxy, timeout, and SSL certificate validation settings.

Output shape

The updated portfolio object as returned by the Nifty PM API.

Response shape follows the API's portfolio update endpoint. Specific fields returned depend on the request and API version.

Examples

Example 1: Update portfolio name and color

Set portfolioId to a specific ID or select from list; set updateFields.color to a hex color (e.g., #ff0000) and updateFields.name to a new name; leave requestOptions at defaults or adjust timeout/proxy as needed.
