Summary

Update an OpenProject task by ID, changing only the supplied subject, description, parent task, status, or priority. The node fetches the current task to obtain its lock version, sends a PATCH request, and returns the updated task.

Inputs

• ID (required) — OpenProject task ID to update.
• Subject — New task subject; empty leaves the current subject unchanged.
• Description — New task description, sent as Markdown; empty leaves the current description unchanged.
• Parent Task ID — ID of the parent task to link. Empty leaves the parent link unchanged.
• Status — Select a status from the list or provide its ID. Empty leaves the current status unchanged.
• Priority — Select a priority from the list or provide its ID. Empty leaves the current priority unchanged.

Output shape

A list of n8n items, each containing one updated task record.

Each task record includes its ID, subject, description, project, type, priority, status, author, optional parent task, and creation and update timestamps. The operation fetches the task first to use its current lock version.
