Summary

Create a new record (instance) in a specified Origami CRM entity by providing the record data either through a field builder or raw JSON format. Optionally attach a calendar event to the created record by specifying event details.

Inputs

  • Entity Name or ID (required) — Specify the target entity by selecting from a dynamically loaded list or using an expression to provide the entity's data name or ID.
  • Input Mode (required) — Choose how to input the record data: 'Field Builder' to specify field-value pairs individually, or 'Raw JSON' to provide the entire form data array in JSON format.
  • Fields (Field Builder mode) — In 'Field Builder' mode, provide one or more fields with their name or ID and the corresponding value to set in the new record.
  • Form Data (JSON) (Raw JSON mode) (required) — In 'Raw JSON' mode, provide the form_data array as JSON, structured according to the target entity's field groups and fields.
  • Include Calendar Event — Optionally include a calendar event attached to the record.
  • All Day Event — If including a calendar event, specify whether it is an all-day event.
  • Start (required) — Start date and time of the calendar event (required if including a calendar event).
  • End (required) — End date and time of the calendar event (required if including a calendar event).

Output shape

a single JSON object per input item representing the API response of the created instance record; includes the created record's details and identifiers

The node returns the raw API response for each created record. Use the 'Entity → Get Structure' operation beforehand to discover field names and structure for building the form data JSON or for using the field builder mode. When including a calendar event, the event is automatically attached to the created record in a dedicated calendar group.

Examples

Example 1: Create a new customer record with specified fields using Field Builder mode

Select the target entity, choose 'Field Builder' mode, add desired fields and their values, optionally include a calendar event with start/end dates, then run the node to create the record.

Example 2: Create a new record using raw JSON input

Select the target entity, choose 'Raw JSON' mode, provide the entire form_data array according to the entity's structure, optionally include a calendar event, and execute to create the instance.
