Summary

Upload an audio file to Palatine Speech to separate speakers and obtain timestamps. Wait for completion when the API returns a task ID, then return diarization data or SRT/VTT subtitle text.

Inputs

  • binaryProperty (required) — Name of the incoming binary property containing the audio file; defaults to data.
  • responseFormat — Choose json (default), srt, or vtt. SRT/VTT output is retrieved after task completion when available, otherwise generated from returned segments using segment text or speaker labels.
  • polling — Optional polling interval and attempt limit; defaults to 500 ms and 200 attempts. Values are clamped to 500–900000 ms and 1–1000 attempts. The implementation converts 1000 ms to 500 ms and 300 attempts to 200.
  • requestOptions — Declared request settings for batching, accepting invalid SSL certificates, an HTTP proxy, and a response timeout. The custom polling and subtitle download requests do not explicitly apply these settings.

Output shape

JSON records containing task: "diarize", source_file, response_format, and either diarization or subtitles; incoming binary data is preserved.

JSON mode preserves the returned object or array in diarization, or converts other values to text. SRT/VTT mode returns subtitle text in subtitles, not a generated binary file; segment-based conversion can be empty when no segments are returned. Task failure or exhaustion of polling attempts raises an error.
