Summary

Generates a PDF from a saved Template Studio template by replacing placeholders with dynamic key-value pairs.

Inputs

• gen_template_id (required) — Select a saved template ID from Template Studio or specify it as an expression.
• gen_tpl_output_format — How the generated file is returned: URL (hosted link) or Binary File (download). Defaults to URL.
• gen_tpl_dynamic_params — Key/value pairs that replace placeholders in the template. Loaded automatically based on the selected template.
• gen_tpl_dynamic_params_manual — Additional custom key/value pairs. These are merged with auto-loaded placeholders; manual values override auto-loaded ones on conflict.

Output shape

One item per input item, containing a single binary property with the generated PDF file.

When Output Format is set to URL, the returned item contains a string property (hosted link) valid for 30 days. When set to Binary File, the binary data is returned directly.

Examples

Example 1: Generate a contract PDF using a saved template and a dynamic recipient name.

Select the contract template; output format: Binary File; dynamic params: name='John Doe'.

Example 2: Create a personalized invoice PDF from a template and receive a hosted download link.

Select the invoice template; output format: URL; dynamic params: invoice_number='INV-2023-001', amount='$500'.
