Summary

Extract barcode data from the binary content of each input item using the specified binary property.

Inputs

• Tool Category — Select the category of tools to display; for this operation it defaults to 'Code / Identification' but can be changed.
• Binary Property (required) — Specify the property name in each input item that contains the binary data to be read as a barcode.
• Max Input Size Bytes — Set the maximum allowed size in bytes for the input binary data per item, defaulting to 25,000,000 bytes.
• Output JSON Property — Define the JSON property name under which the decoded barcode information will be stored in the output, default is 'barcode'.

Output shape

a list of items where each item contains a JSON property with the decoded barcode data extracted from the binary input property

The operation processes each input item independently; if barcode reading fails for an item, it triggers an error for that item. The decoded barcode data will be stored as a JSON object under the user-defined property name (default 'barcode').

Example 1: Reading barcode data from images

Set 'Binary Property' to the binary field containing the image data, optionally adjust 'Max Input Size Bytes' and 'Output JSON Property' as needed.
