Summary

Retrieve one Microsoft Outlook message by its message ID and return it in a chosen output format, optionally including attachments or MIME content.

Inputs

• messageId (required) — Choose a message from the searchable list or enter its ID directly.
• output — Choose Simplified (default), Raw, or Select Included Fields output.
• fields — For Select Included Fields, choose message properties to include, such as subject, body, recipients, and timestamps.
• options.downloadAttachments — Download the message's attachments into binary output fields; the default is false.
• options.attachmentsPrefix — Prefix for attachment binary field names when downloading attachments. An index starting at 0 is appended; the default prefix is attachment_.
• options.getMimeContent — Request the message's MIME content and place it in the configured binary field, with an optional output filename. The default binary field name is data.

Output shape

A single message record, optionally with attachment or MIME content in binary fields.

The returned message fields depend on the selected output mode. Simplified returns a reduced message representation; Raw returns the API response; Select Included Fields limits the output to the selected fields. MIME content is optional.
