Summary

Updates a Microsoft Teams channel’s name and/or description in the selected team. Choose the team, select or enter the channel ID, and provide either or both fields under Update Fields.

Inputs

• teamId (required) — Team name or ID. The node uses this to identify the team containing the channel.
• channelId — Channel name or ID to update; the channel list depends on the selected team.
• updateFields.name — New channel name as it will appear in Microsoft Teams.
• updateFields.description — New channel description.

Output shape

A single item containing the Microsoft Graph API response for the updated channel.

Name and description are optional update fields; the operation sends the selected values to the channel update endpoint.

Examples

Example 1: Rename a channel

Select a team and channel, then set Update Fields → Name.

Example 2: Change a channel description

Select a team and channel, then set Update Fields → Description.
