Summary

Update an existing calendar event in a specified Microsoft Outlook calendar with optional changes to its properties.

Inputs

• calendarId (required) — The Microsoft Outlook calendar from which the event to update will be selected. Can be specified by list selection or by ID.
• eventId (required) — The event to update within the calendar. Can be chosen from a list, by event URL (to extract the ID), or directly by ID.
• additionalFields — Optional fields to update on the event, such as title (subject), description (body), start and end times, all-day status, importance, categories, visibility of attendees, online meeting flag, sensitivity, show-as status, cancellation or draft state, and event type (single instance, occurrence, exception, or series master).

Output shape

a single updated event record returned as JSON object.

The output includes the updated event details. All updated fields correspond to those provided via 'additionalFields'. Errors may occur if required fields are missing or if the event ID is invalid.

Examples

Example 1: Modify an event's title, start and end time, and add categories.

Select calendar and event by list, then provide 'subject', 'start', 'end', and 'categories' in 'Additional Fields'.
