When the API response has an array in data, the output is {"messages": [...], "count": n}, where count is the number returned. Other object responses are passed through as returned by the API. Group messages identify the sender in from_jid. Errors stop execution unless Continue On Fail is enabled.

Examples

Example 1: Fetch the latest 20 messages from an individual chat.

Set Instance ID to the Velix instance UUID, Chat JID to the contact's phone@s.whatsapp.net, Limit to 20, and Offset to 0.

Example 2: Fetch an older page from a group chat.

Set Chat JID to the group's groupid@g.us, keep Limit at 20, and set Offset to 20 to skip the latest 20 messages.
