Send Image (URL)

Summary

Inputs

  • Instance ID (required) — UUID of the WhatsApp instance configured in Velix.
  • Recipient (JID) (required) — WhatsApp recipient ID: a phone number with @s.whatsapp.net, or a group ID with @g.us.
  • Image URL (required) — Publicly accessible image URL. The node downloads the image before sending it; the property description lists JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WebP as supported formats.
  • Caption — Optional text displayed below the image. Supports WhatsApp formatting.

Output shape

One n8n output item per input item, containing the API response in its json field.

The node sends the downloaded bytes as a base64 image and uses the download response's content-type as the MIME type, falling back to image/jpeg if it is missing. If the API response's data field is an array, output json is {"messages": [...], "count": n}; otherwise the response object is returned as-is. With Continue On Fail enabled, errors are returned as {"error": "..."} for the affected item.
