Summary

Set the disappearing messages (ephemeral) expiration for a WhatsApp group.

Inputs

• sessionId (required) — The Session ID to use for this request.
• jid (required) — WhatsApp JID of the group (e.g., xxxxx@g.us).
• additionalFields.ephemeralExpiration — Seconds until messages disappear. Example: 86400 for 24 hours. Set to 0 to disable disappearing messages. Default: 86400.

The node returns the response from the WA‑AKG API /api/groups/<sessionId>/<jid>/ephemeral endpoint, which typically includes a success flag and any data returned by the server.

Examples

Example 1: Enable disappearing messages for a group with a 7‑day expiry.

Set sessionId to the active WA‑AKG session, jid to the group JID (e.g. 1234567890@g.us), and additionalFields.ephemeralExpiration to 604800 (7 days × 24h × 3600s).

Example 2: Disable disappearing messages.

Same as above but set additionalFields.ephemeralExpiration to 0.
