Summary

Search Reddit posts using a specified query with optional parameters to filter by subreddit, sort order, and pagination.

Inputs

• Account ID (required) — The Reddit account ID to authenticate the request.
• Query (required) — The search string to find matching Reddit posts.
• Subreddit — Optional subreddit name to scope the search (without the 'r/' prefix). Leave empty to search all Reddit.
• Restrict to Subreddit — Whether to restrict search results strictly to the specified subreddit (Yes or No). Defaults to No.
• Sort — Sort order of results: New, Relevance, Hot, Top, or Comments. Defaults to New.
• Limit — Maximum number of posts to return, up to 100. Defaults to 25.
• After — Pagination cursor to fetch the next page of results (e.g., a post ID).

Output shape

A list of Reddit post objects matching the search criteria.

The result list respects the limit and pagination parameters. Posts are filtered and sorted according to input options. The operation requires a valid Reddit account ID for authorization.

Examples

Example 1: Search for recent posts about 'typescript' across all Reddit, limited to 25 posts sorted by new.

Account ID set to authorized Reddit account; Query set to 'typescript'; default parameters for other fields.

Example 2: Search for top posts in the 'programming' subreddit related to 'n8n', restricting results to that subreddit.

Account ID set; Query set to 'n8n'; Subreddit set to 'programming'; Restrict to Subreddit set to Yes; Sort set to Top; Limit set as needed.
