Summary

Dispatches an event to the Orderly event service.

Inputs

• requestJson (required) — JSON object conforming to the Orderly Event input schema. The default expression accesses the current workflow item's data.

Output shape

a single record

Returns the dispatched Event object with server-generated data (e.g., ID). The input JSON must be a valid JSON object; scalar values are wrapped in a 'value' field.

Examples

Example 1: Trigger a custom event with a payload from a previous node.

Set 'requestJson' to a JSON object containing the event data (e.g., { "type": "order_created", "payload": { "orderId": "12345" } }).
