Summary

Updates a field definition for the selected Asset, Person, or Room template. Select the definition by list or UUID, provide its immutable field key, and supply the field settings to send in the update request.

Inputs

• Template (required) — Asset, Person, or Room template that owns the field definition.
• Field Definition (required) — Field definition to update, selected from the list or entered by UUID.
• Field Key (required) — Immutable key required by the update endpoint.
• Field Type (required) — Type name to send, such as TEXT, NUMBER, or DROPDOWN.
• Label (required) — User-visible field label.
• Field Type Constraints — JSON array sent as field_type.constraints.
• Attributes — JSON array sent as attributes.
• Relations — JSON array sent as relations.
• Comment — Optional comment for the field definition.
• Default Value — JSON value sent as default_value.
• Possible Values — JSON array sent as possible_values.

Output shape

A single updated field definition record.

The operation uses the selected template and field definition UUID to address the update request. Optional JSON inputs default to empty arrays or null as shown in the node UI.
